Today the Charlton and Cribbs Conservatives team announced their positive plan for Charlton Hayes, Patchway, Cribbs Causeway, Brabazon and Cribbs Causeway.

CHARLTON HAYES

If Charlton Hayes elect Conservatives on May 4th, 2023, we will fight to:

  • Merge management companies functions into our new Charlton Hayes Parish Council to provide better value for residents
  • Provide a GP surgery to ensure health services keep pace with the new housing
  • Push for the speedy adoption of the estate by the council once developers have finished
  • Deliver the full rebuilding of Patchway Community School
  • Install traffic calming and tackle speeding motorists across the estate
  • Tackle traffic congestion and invest in public transport like opening the new train station and improved buses
  • Install safety barrier at Wood Street West Park
  • Deploy cameras and other measures at key hotspots to deter anti-social behaviour
  • Deliver a new Community centre in the disused Hangar 16U
  • Employ a litter picker to keep our area clean and tidy
  • Keep Council Tax low

 

PATCHWAY

If Patchway elect Conservatives on May 4th, 2023, we will fight to:

  • Reduce the Council Tax charged by Labour led Patchway Town Council, which is one of the highest in the country
  • Deliver the full rebuilding of Patchway Community School
  • Fill in the Coniston Road subway and regenerate The Parade shopping area
  • Action to tackle traffic congestion and improve public transport
  • Full re-surfacing of more local roads and pothole repairs across the area
  • Deploy cameras and other measures at key hotspots to deter anti-social behaviour
  • Review the Rodway Road junction

 

CRIBBS CAUSEWAY

If Cribbs Causeway elect Conservatives on May 4th, 2023, we will fight to:

  • Full re-surfacing of more local roads and pothole repairs across the area including Fishpool Hill, Catbrain and Passage Road
  • Action on traffic congestion and invest in public transport like reopening Henbury Train Station
  • Speed limit enforcement at A4018 and action against noisy motorists
  • Diversion of right of way from Charlton Commons estate, preventing anti-social behaviour against local residents
  • Developers to be considerate of existing residents as construction works continue around them
  • Improved Street Care services and timely bin collection
  • Deploy cameras and other measures at key hotspots to deter anti-social behaviour
  • Keep Council Tax low

BRABAZON & NORTHFIELD PARK

If Brabazon & Northfield Park elect Conservatives on May 4th, 2023, we will fight to:

  • The early delivery of the new community centre in Hangar 16U, a new GP surgery and schools so our community can thrive
  • Action on traffic congestion and invest in public transport like the achievement of MetroBus and new train stations
  • Developers to be considerate of existing residents as construction works continue around them
  • Implementation of a bin collection schedule at local parks
  • Maintain road safety locally
  • Work with the police to keep our communities safe
  • Keep Council Tax low
